I just wanted everyone to know that I put a new page of pictures up on piczo. There are many more that I will try to get on that site sometime this year.
I got to pick Lucas up from his school yesterday. That isn't even the best part. When I walked into his room and he saw me, he came running up to me with his arms wide open for me to sweep him up and give him big hugs and kisses. Grandma Jane saw his little cubby hole where he keeps his things and he made sure he pointed out his nap mat with the Spongebob pillow. There was one little girl in the room too. Lucas told me that her name is Hayley. I said hello to her but Lucas explained that "she's not talking. She's shy." When we checked the family's mailbox to find that there was nothing in it yesterday, Lucas put his hand up to his forehead and said "Oh shoot." And proceeded to shake his head slowly and sadly. The woman that helped me yesterday repeatedly told me how they all just love Lucas there. No surprise. On the ride home, in Grandma's new car with new tires, Lucas told me that he was tired and that he had felt like going outside at school but it was too cold to go out to play. He looked so content to sit on the couch with Pappy and eat his popsicle while he waited for daddy to pick him up. Daddy had been stuck in traffic and wasn't going to make it on time to get the little man from school. It was quite the adventure and really made my day. I want to pick Lucas up from school every day that he goes.
